Share Your Input: Take Part In The City of Hollywood Community Shuttle & Micro-Transit Study
April 6, 2023
While the test of the On-Demand "Fixed Stop" Sun Shuttle West Community Shuttle continues in the City of Hollywood, the City's engineering staff are continuing the work to develop a "Fixed Route" Community Shuttle Service for residents in the western portion of Hollywood.
They are seeking resident input regarding choices for routes and potential stops. They also want to hear from the public regarding existing transit conditions and transportation concerns. Please share that feedback using this link: http://hollywoodfl.org/ and search Community Shuttle & Micro-Transit Study.
Volunteer to Help Keep Hollywood Beach Clean
One of Hollywood’s greatest assets is its beautiful, award-winning sandy beach. Travelers from all over the world choose our backyard as their vacation destination. During the Spring Break Season, more travelers are vacationing on our beach. As with any popular destination, the more people who visit — the more debris gets left behind. In addition to the City’s regular beach maintenance, there are dozens of dedicated volunteers who hit the beach every day to pitch in to pick up litter on our beach. The City of Hollywood hosts the monthly Hollywood Beach Sweep, where volunteers gather every second Saturday of the month to collect litter and cigarette butts from the sandy beach.
Hollywood Beach Sweep Clean-Up takes place on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Volunteers meet at Charnow Park at Garfield Street and the Broadwalk, at 7:00 a.m. Volunteers are asked to complete the registration form available on the City’s website: http://hollywoodfl.org and children ages 8 and older are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult. Gloves and garbage bags will be provided to all volunteers along with safety instructions. Please dress appropriately, wear sunscreen and bring your reusable water bottle and completed registration form with you.
For more information and to download the registration form, please visit: www.hollywoodfl.org and search “Beach Sweep.”
