Love Is In The Air At The Parker This February

Hailed as “The next Jackie Mason” by The New York Times, MODI’s Pause for Laughter Tour comes to The Parker for five side-splitting performances presented by the Broward Center and Outback Presents on Thursday, February 6th at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, February 16th at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Monday, February 17th and Tuesday, February 18th at 7:00 p.m. Voted one of the top 10 comedians in New York City by The Hollywood Reporter, MODI is one of the comedy circuit’s most sought after performers. Featured on HBO, CBS, NBC, ABC, Comedy Central, Howard Stern and E! Entertainment, MODI has garnered rave reviews in The New York Times, Time Out NY and the New York Post. His headline tours have taken him to the U.K., Holland and Israel and to comedy festivals and special venues that include Montreal’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. “MODI is imparting to audiences the importance of working together to bring light into the world," according to Variety.

Foghat comes to The Parker as part of the Cleveland Clinic Rock Series for a rescheduled performance on Friday, February 7th at 8:00 p.m. Formed in 1971 when Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl left the British blues-rock band Savoy Brown, Foghat has earned eight Gold records, one Platinum record and one Double-Platinum record. After the passing of Peverett and Rod Price in 2005, Roger Earl has kept Foghat's musical legacy alive releasing “Sonic Mojo” last year and he will be joined at The Parker by Bryan Basset, Scott Holt and Rodney O'Qunn. They will deliver the hits such as “Slow Ride,” “Fool for the City,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” “Drivin’ Wheel,” “Stone Blue,” “Honey Hush,” “Home in My Hand” and “Third Time Lucky.”

Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass & Other Delights bring their once-in-a-lifetime concert event to The Parker as part of the TD Bank Jazz Series on Tuesday, February 11th at 7:30 p.m. Marking the 60th Anniversary of their iconic album “Whipped Cream & Other Delights,” Alpert will be joined by six exceptional musicians playing favorite hit songs, including “The Lonely Bull,” “Spanish Flea,” “Taste of Honey,” “Mexican Shuffle,” “Tijuana Taxi,” “This Guy’s In Love With You,” “What Now My Love,” “Zorba the Greek,” “Ladyfingers,” “Rise” and more. After making a name for himself with his Tijuana Brass ensemble, Alpert went on to sell more than 70 million records and be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the Co-Founder of A & M Records, which he created with Jerry Moss.

Comedian Kathleen Madigan brings The Day Drinking Tour to The Parker on Friday, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. as part of the Truist Comedy Series. Having risen from performing in comedy clubs to performing in marquee theaters with sold-out shows, Madigan’s 35-year comedy career shows no signs of slowing down as she takes her Day Drinking Tour on the road. In addition to touring 250 nights a year on the road, she has squeezed in more than 40 appearances on late night talk shows and multiple comedy specials airing on Amazon, Netflix, Comedy Central and HBO. She has also appeared on Jerry Seinfeld’s popular Netflix series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” and hosts her popular weekly podcast, Madigan's Pubcast, which currently has more than five million downloads on all streaming outlets.

The Robert Cray Band: Groovin’ 50 Years comes to The Parker Wednesday, February 19th at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Baptist Health Red Carpet Series. Robert Cray Band has been bridging the lines between Blues, Soul and R&B for the past four decades, with five Grammy wins, more than 20 acclaimed albums and many great achievements, including being inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and receiving the Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance. Robert Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots and arrives today sounding both fresh and familiar.

The Broward Center and AEG Presents bring A.J. Croce: Heart of the Eternal Tour to The Parker on Thursday, February 20th at 7:30 p.m. for a special night celebrating the music of A.J. Croce and his iconic band along with the timeless songs and stories of his father, Jim Croce. This performance is part of the Cleveland Clinic Rock Series.

Back by popular demand, Robin Trower presented by the Broward Center and AEG Presents comes to The Parker on Friday, February 21st at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Cleveland Clinic Rock Series. Given the press moniker “The White Hendrix” in the ‘70s, Trower has been heralded as one of the most influential guitar players to come out of the British rock scene. As the guitarist who fronted for Procol Harum before launching his own celebrated four-decade career, Trower, a true axeman's axeman, took the ethereal sound that Hendrix first introduced to the world and created his own signature sound and style. For six decades, his career has been an act of quiet rebellion. In the early ‘70s, Trower announced his fearless streak by leaving the security of Procol Harum for a gold-selling solo career whose “Bridge Of Sighs” album filled the stadiums of North America. Since then, he's flowed from his own projects to collaborations with everyone from Jack Bruce to the United State Of Mind supergroup alongside Maxi Priest and Livingstone Brown.

The Broward Center and AEG Presents: Bring the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band – All the Good Times: The Farewell Tour with special guest Brit Taylor on Wednesday, February 26th at 7:30 p.m. at The Parker. For nearly six decades, the three-time Grammy Award-winning Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has entertained audiences with their top-shelf musicianship and timeless hits such as “Mr. Bojangles,” “An American Dream,” and “Fishin’ in the Dark.” Now, the Dirt Band kicks off the last of their traditionally scheduled gigs, marking the final time fans will see multi-city runs and long bus rides from the group that helmed the multi-artist Will The Circle Be Unbroken series that featured the likes of Mother Maybelle Carter, Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, Levon Helm and dozens more. Singer/songwriter Brit Taylor makes a guest appearance with her distinctive style blending classic country sounds with the bluegrass from her home state of Kentucky.

Broward Center and AEG Presents: Little Feat: Can’t Be Satisfied Tour with special guest Jim Lauderdale on Thursday, February 27th at 7:30 p.m. at The Parker. For more than 50 years, Little Feat has used a combination of elite musicianship and brilliant, idiosyncratic songwriting to create a repertoire that transcends all boundaries. California Rock, Funk, Folk, Jazz, Country and Rockabilly mixed with New Orleans Swamp Boogie led to a powerful sound that has kept audiences dancing for decades. Their groove, in songs like “Dixie Chicken,” “Spanish Moon,” “Fat Man in the Bathtub” and “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now,” was so infectious it allowed them to endure and press on even when losing Founder, Lowell George and Founding Drummer, Richie Hayward. With their latest album “Sam’s Place” released in 2024, they are in top form now with Scott Sharrard on lead/vocals and Tony Leone on drums/vocals, and with Founder, Bill Payne on keys/vocals, Fred Tackett on guitars/vocals, Kenny Gradney on bass and Sam Clayton on percussion/vocals.

Powerful and playful co-vocalist of beloved new wave dance combo the B-52s, Kate Pierson comes to The Parker on Friday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Cleveland Clinic Rock Series. Pierson has continued to embody qualities like empowerment and inclusivity with her own spirited Alternative Dance music. Before launching her solo career, she had spent close to 40 years as a member of the iconic Athens, Georgia group before she decided it was time to step out with her first solo album, 2015's “Guitars and Microphones.” She navigated Dance-Rock, Indie Pop, Disco and more on the likewise diverse follow-up album “Radios & Rainbows,” released in 2024 featuring collaborations with Sia, Chris Braide, Jimmy Harry (Madonna Grammy winner), Tim Andersen (Ima Robot), Bleu McCauley and Adele bass player Sam Dixon. She has also sung recently on a track with Pylon Reenactment Society and contributed to several tracks on Jane Weidlin's (Go Gos) new release.
