Hollywood This Week - Cardboard Boat Race Returns & Transit Is Free On Election Day

Join us this Saturday for the City of Hollywood’s Annual Cardboard Boat Race, which was rescheduled to this weekend after being postponed last month due to weather. Watch as more than 45 cardboard boat crews compete in vessels made entirely of cardboard! The race sets sail on Hollywood’s North Lake this Saturday, November 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Hollywood Marina, located at 700 Polk Street, Hollywood, Florida 33019.

Landlubbers will gather to cheer as the crews paddle head-to-head for coveted trophies in categories like “People’s Choice,” “Fastest Vessel,” “Most Creative Design,” and “Most Spectacular Sinking.”

Use Hollywood Transit to Voting Precincts for Free on Election Day November 5th

All Sun Shuttle fares will be waived on Election Day. Both zones will operate between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Holly-GO shuttle service is always free.
