Friends Of Jack & Jill Center Present 23rd Annual Stiles Light Up Downtown

Organized by the Friends of Jack & Jill Center, a dedicated group of volunteers committed to raising awareness and funds for the Jack & Jill Center’s programs, this adults-only event offers an opportunity for attendees to indulge in unlimited cocktails, delicious canapés, and lively entertainment. Guests can enjoy performances from jugglers and stilt walkers, and, of course, a special visit from Santa himself.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the ceremonial lighting of a magnificent 30-foot Christmas tree, which will illuminate Downtown Fort Lauderdale, signaling the start of the holiday season. The festive ambiance and entertainment promise to create an unforgettable experience for all who attend.

The proceeds from this year’s event will directly benefit the Jack & Jill Center, a vital organization focused on strengthening families and children in the community through innovative education and supportive programming. Since its inception in 1942, Jack & Jill Center has served over 30,000 children and families in South Florida, offering a range of services from early childhood education to family strengthening programs.

Jack & Jill Center is particularly renowned for its NAEYC-accredited year-round early learning program, catering to children aged six weeks to preschool. The center also recently expanded its offerings with the Madelaine Halmos Academy, a state-of-the-art elementary school that opened in April 2021. This new facility aims to equip students from high-need working families with the skills necessary for future success, both academically and in life.

A Legacy of Giving

The Friends of Jack & Jill Center (Auxiliary Board), established in 1999, has been instrumental in furthering the center's mission. This auxiliary board has raised over $6.5 Million and dedicated countless volunteer hours to improving the lives of children and families in the area. Their tireless efforts reflect a commitment to creating a stronger community and ensuring that every child has access to the resources needed for success.
