Celebrating Hollywood’s Centennial In 2025

January 8, 2025

As the City of Hollywood stands at the threshold of a centennial, the 100th Anniversary is celebrated with pride and thoughtful reflection. This milestone represents more than the passage of time; it is a testament to the resilience, vision, and spirit of the people who have called Hollywood home throughout the past century.

A hundred years ago, Hollywood was just a square mile of farmland, founded by planning visionary Joseph Wesley Young. Through his leadership and the determination of early pioneers, dreamers, and hardworking individuals, a strong foundation was established that has supported generations of families and businesses, creating the vibrant City that exists today.

All are invited to participate in the special Centennial activities planned throughout 2025. This Centennial celebration serves as both a reflection and a renewal—a reminder that while the landscape may continue to transform, Hollywood’s dedication to community, connection, and progress remains constant. The story of this remarkable City will continue to unfold over the next 100 years.
