Aventura Seeks Local Talent: For Its Annual Aventura STAR Competition

The City of Aventura is pleased to announce its annual Aventura Star talent competition on Sunday, November 13th, 2022 at the City’s Founders Day Celebration. The brightest performing artists of all ages including (but not limited to) singers, actors, musicians, dancers, magicians, circus acts, or specialty acts are invited to participate as an individual or in a group of no more than five.

“We’re excited to provide Aventura artists with a platform and community to showcase their talent at our annual Founders Day birthday celebration,” said Community Services Director, Kimberly Merchant.

Performances are limited to three minutes and original or published material may be performed. All accompanying music must be dropped off at the Community Recreation Center on a compact disc (CD) by Friday, October 21st, 2022.

Each contestant (individual or group member) must be an Aventura resident and is required to complete an Application Form online at: www.cityofaventura.com/ors - the City’s Online Registration System. All members of a group act must place their group name on their individual Application Form. Applications are due by Friday, October 21st, 2022. Once all of the Applications are submitted, contestants will receive an email from the City’s Community Recreation Center confirming their scheduled performance time on the day of the competition.

The Aventura Star competition will be held on Founders Day at Founders Park, 3105 Northeast 188th Street, Aventura, Florida 33180. The event is FREE and open to the public.
