A Family-Friendly Celebration - City Of Aventura Founders Day & Aventura Star 2024 Competition

The City of Aventura proudly celebrates the 29th Anniversary of incorporation on Sunday, November 9th, 2024 at the Annual Founders Day Celebration. To honor this important milestone, the City invites residents and members of the community to enjoy this family-friendly celebration. The festivities take place from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Gulfstream Park located at 901 South Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009. The entrance to the event will be located northbound on Biscayne Boulevard. FREE parking will be available at Gulfstream Park just north of the event's location.

Ticket reservations are required for every individual and can be completed online only with a valid and existing account at: www.cityofaventura.com/ors, the City's Online Registration System (ORS). Each individual in a household will be able to reserve 2 tickets for the event. Everyone including young children and babies are required to purchase a ticket.

Tickets will be attached to your receipt upon completion of registration. In order to enter the event, you must pick up your wristbands at the Community Recreation Center PRIOR to the day of the event. To ensure a smooth and secure check-in process, one participant from the household account is required to bring the following items:

1. Valid Photo ID: Please bring a Government-Issued Photo ID (e.g., Driver’s License or Passport) for identification purposes.
2. Event Tickets: Make sure to have your event tickets ready, either in printed form or accessible on your mobile device.

Please keep in mind that without both items listed above, your wristbands will NOT be distributed to you.

Wristbands may be picked up on the following days and times:

• Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 & Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
• Monday, November 4th, 2024 - Friday, November 8th, 2024 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.

Please keep in mind everyone entering the event MUST have their wristband on, including young children and babies. On the day of the event, each person must have their wristband on and be prepared to physically present it to enter the event. All tickets/wristbands are non-transferable and cannot be duplicated. Each ticket can only be scanned once and only one wristband will be provided per ticket scanned.

Aventura Star 2024

Lights, camera, action! The vibrant city of Aventura is gearing up to host its annual talent extravaganza, the Aventura Star 2024 Competition. This event is a testament to the city's commitment to celebrating and nurturing the talents of its residents, young and old. Aventura Star 2024 promises to be an unforgettable showcase of talent, creativity, and community spirit.

Aventura Star 2024 is open to performers of all ages and backgrounds, inviting a diverse range of talents to take center stage. Whether you're a singer, actor, musician, dancer, magician, circus performer, or have a unique specialty act up your sleeve, this is your chance to shine. The competition welcomes individuals as well as groups of up to five members, allowing for a wide array of acts to captivate the audience.

The stage is set, the spotlight is ready, and all that's missing is you! Don't miss the opportunity to showcase your talent and share your passion with the community. Mark your calendars, all contestants that have registered must attend Rehearsal day, Saturday, October 26th, 2024. Head to the Community Recreation Center at 3375 Northeast 188th Street, Aventura, Florida 33180 for an essential practice session. Details will be emailed to all registered contestants, so keep an eye on your inbox.

Performances are limited to three minutes and original or published material may be performed. Each contestant (individual or group member) must be an Aventura resident and is required to complete an application form online at: www.cityofaventura.com/ors, the City's Online Registration System. All members of a group act must place their group name on their individual application form. Once all of the applications are submitted, contestants will receive an email from the City's Community Recreation Center confirming their scheduled performance time on the day of the competition.

The Aventura Star competition will be held on Founders Day at Gulfstream Park, 901 South Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009. The event is FREE but reservation is required.
