Tamarac’s Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek (TBTST) Welcomed Rabbi Mauricio Balter, Executive Director Of Masorti Olami & MERCAZ Olami, For An Inspiring And Thought-Provoking Evening, Discussing Crucial Issues Facing Israel And The Global Jewish Community. Masorti Olami Is The International Movement Of Masorti/Conservative Judaism Based In Jerusalem, Israel, Serving Masorti/Conservative Jewish Communities On Five Continents. MERCAZ Is Its Political Arm, Promoting Religious Pluralism In Israel. Rabbi Balter Joined Attendees For Services At 6:00 Pm Prior To The Program.

Rabbi Balter addressed important topics, including:


Israel and the Jewish World’s Current Challenges: From external threats to internal divisions, Israel faces an array of obstacles. How can we overcome these difficulties and build a more unified community?


Navigating Divisions in the Jewish World: Rabbi Balter will address how we can bridge gaps within the Jewish world, fostering understanding and cooperation despite our differences.


Conservative Judaism’s Role: As Conservative Jews, how do we continue to “hold the center” and create a space for traditional, egalitarian, and inclusive Judaism both in Israel and globally?


Israel’s Future as a Jewish and Democratic State: With ongoing pressures from multiple directions, how can we ensure that Israel remains a thriving Jewish and democratic state for future generations?
