Looking For The Perfect Summer Experience For Your Child? The City Of Hollywood Has A Fantastic Lineup Of Camps Tailored To Different Interests And Budgets!

M.O.S.T. (Maximize Out of School Time) Camps are funded by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County and available to all Broward County residents. These camps offer a safe and engaging environment where kids can boost their academic skills, develop social connections, stay active and participate in meaningful community service projects. Daily activities include reading, math, science, swimming, arts & crafts, themed weeks, sports, games, group fun and exciting field trips! Running from June 9th to August 8th, M.O.S.T. Camps take place at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Washington Park, McNicol and Kay Gaither Community Centers. Campers must be Broward County residents and fees are based on a sliding scale with income verification.

For young nature lovers, Hollywood’s Science, Education and Adventure (S.E.A.) Camp at the Hollywood Beach Culture & Community Center is a great option. This unique outdoor-based program immerses kids in marine life and environmental sciences, with hands-on exploration of beaches, marshes and other natural habitats. Campers will gain a deeper understanding of ecosystems, fascinating wildlife and conservation efforts. S.E.A. Camp runs in three-week sessions starting June 9th.

At Driftwood Community Center, Hollywood’s S.T.A.R.S (Summer. Teen. Athletes. Reaching. Success.) offers Hollywood’s first Summer Camp for rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This camp is intended to inspire and engage campers through athletics, STEM, field trips and more. Camp dates begin on June 9th.

For adventure seekers ages 8 to 17, the Beach Junior Lifeguard Program provides hands-on training in ocean and beach safety. Campers will learn life saving techniques, rescue board and ocean kayak skills, ecology, first aid and even compete in lifeguard challenges. Marshmallow Drop

A Celebration to Remember!

Join the City of Hollywood in celebrating 100 years at the Spring Marshmallow Drop on Saturday, March 29th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Boulevard Heights Community Center, 6770 Garfield Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024.

This exciting family-friendly event for children ages 10 and under kicks off with an open house featuring a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny, music, games, and bounce houses.

At 3:00 p.m., children ages 3 to 6 can join the annual egg hunt with baskets provided. Then, at 3:30 p.m., kids ages 7 to 10 will experience the thrill of 30,000 marshmallows dropping from the sky! Young participants can collect the marshmallows and exchange them for fantastic prizes like bicycles and gift baskets. Don’t forget to bring a basket or bag to gather the marshmallows!
